Weekly News-18 October 2009

Club Waimea News Update
18 October 2009
As we count down to Christmas we have a lot of activities happening at the club leading up to the 25 December 2009.

A good reference point to see what is happening at the club is on our website which I am endeavoring to keep up to date as regularly as possible with the help of our webmaster for those tricky bits I have to make time to master. We also advertise primarily with the Waimea Weekly and have some radio advertising happening on the Radio network stations along with our internal promotions here at the club. Periodically we do have advertising happening in the Nelson Mail and The Leader. Or alternatively give us a call and we can let you know what we know!

A night at the Races, 7pm Friday 6 November is a fun event for all members to participate in whether it is a horse/jockey or a punter. As this is the first time this type of an event has been run here I will shorten it to a 4 race meeting so will need 18 -24 volunteers to make up the starting line up  plus a couple of reserves. Entry to the event is by way of a gold coin which will secure you $5000 of race money that you will be able to use in the blind auction at the end of the race night.

Please let the bar or office staff know if you are keen to participate by 1 November so that we can print our race books with the latest form guide.
