Elgas hassle-free LPG

Elgas is offering Club Waimea Supergold card holders a 10% discount on home gas deliveries which equates to $1.23 per litre or $108.50 per 45kg cylinder. The cylinder hire is $100.10 including GST for 2 X 45kg cylinders per year.

This has started with a $500.00 donation and it will increase by $100.00 per week. You can enter by buying a $2.00 ticket in the 75 limited weekly draw, the one number drawn then has a choice of 13 keys to open the Treasure Chest. Club Waimea is proud to have Noel Leeming sponsor this event.

On Thursday 8 July when members paid their membership fee and went into a draw there were 778 entries and three prizes were drawn.

1. First prize of a Shell card kindly donated by BG Securities was won by Donna Mills, member No 826
2. Second prize of meal voucher donated by Club Waimea was won by Kevin Stark member No 481
3. Third prize of vegetables kindly donated by Todd Brothers (Lower Queen Street) was won by Julie Beach member No 1414

The Members draw worth $1,000.00 was struck on 1 July 2010. A new one has been started  and the first draw of $500.00 on 8 July drawn No 859 was not struck. The second draw of $600.00 on 15 July was also not struck. Remember that you have to be at the Club to claim your winnings.

Caravan Site Upgrade

Club Waimea has upgraded the electrical power supply to the caravan sites within the camping ground , this will give us the assurance that we can meet the requirements of our users at all times .

The 39^th AGM was held on the 30^th May with John Hewison being President, the Vice-Presidents contest was between John Allan and Alison Thompson and the four who stood for the two positions on the board were David Birdling, Graham Douglas, Barry King and Alison Thompson. The new Vice-President is John Allan and the two board positions went to David Birdling and Graham Douglas.

The annual subscriptions were set at $40.00 for new members reducing to $30.00 for the month of June for members renewal. Couples annual subscriptions were set at $70.00 for new members reducing to $50.00 for the month of June for couples membership renewal. Juniors are $15.00 reducing to $10.00 for the month of June. If you take the advantage of the discount being offered you also will automatically go into a draw to win any one or all of the three fabulous mystery prizes that will be drawn on 8 July just before the Lucky members draw.

The May Speights beer promotion camouflage wind-proof Swandri jacket was won by Ivan Reed.

In June the Tui beer has a instant scratch card promotion. You can win a key ring, a beanie hat/scarf, a jacket and failing that, five cards will get you another handle – full of course.
