Super League Poker Final
The current Season Final is being held at Club Waimea on Thursday 6th August. Over the past weeks, players in the Nelson area have been accumulating points to qualify to play in this final. The top 40 on the South Island Leader Board will be playing off for $700 in cash as well as the top 3 players at this Final securing seats in the National Champions Trophy to be held in Auckland on 29th August. There will be 18 players from Nelson heading north to take on the best players from the Wellington and Auckland Areas with the winner of that Tournament receiving a cash and prize package of $4,000.Since the Club joined in with Super League Poker, over 50 players have been involved however there is plenty of room for anyone else to join in. Playing on Thursday nights with free registration from 6.30pm, here is a chance for anyone to have a go and experience the excitement that you may only have seen on Television. Club members interested in joining up simply need to see Andrew Binnie in the poker area before the night’s play, all are welcome. The Final on 6th August also doubles as a League game so it doesn’t matter if you haven’t qualified in the top 40, you will still be able to play and earn league points. Only those who qualify in the top 40 however will be eligible for the cash and tournament seat prizes on the night.
Super League Poker Seasons run for 10 weeks with all players starting with zero points at the start of each Season – the more you play, the better your chances of qualifying for the Season Final and a shot at the cash.
